Now that we finished animal eyes, we are going to start our journey into drawing actual animals! The next project will be the shaded cat!
1. You will get a piece of nice drawing paper and you will sketch out the same cat outline as above. When you are finished, check it off with me and you will get a fine tip sharpie. With the sharpie you will draw out your outlines.
2. When you check off your line art of your cat, I will give you a shading stump. A shading stump is a tool that will help you shade effortlessly between grays. You will have to copy the shading in the example above. The direction of the shading alternates back and forth. Everything is a light grey except the highlight on the eyes. The darkest part of the cat is the pupil. When you are done shading you will check it off with me and turn it into the turn in box!
