We are going to start the week off shading a ribbon. Now that we are done with simple shapes, we will begin to learn how to shade more complex things. We will start off making a curved line with at least 5 big bends. This line has to take up a majority of the paper and should be very curvy. Then, using a ruler, you will make straight lines going down one inch at the end of each bend. They should not be curved in or out, they must be straight. After that is completed, you will re draw the big curvy line you created, only this time an inch down. When you are done with that, you have your ribbon. Now you have to shade it. At each bend, it will start from dark going to light like a gradient and then going back to a light grey. The direction of the shading alternates with every bend. Still confused?
