Hey new art students. Every day you are absent, you lose your participation points. To make up for these points, all you have to do is draw life studies to make up for the hour of class time missed. A life drawing should be a study from life that you see before you. It can be something like your sibling, your pet, or your cup of coffee next to you. If you want to get creative, you can also draw subjects from photos on the computer. It isn't likely that you will find a tiger to draw in real life, but you can learn how to draw one on google images! To make up absent points, I require 6 life drawings. These studies can't looks rushed, they have to look like they took at least 10 minutes of time and effort to make up for the hour of class missed.
I will guarantee you that if you do these extra credit exercises, you will become a better artist! It is a great warm up that many professional artists do themselves to improve on their skills. Even if you only draw a couple sketches a day, you will see your improvement with time!
