The cut out art with animals won't take very long. We will be doing coffee cup art for those that finish early. Coffee cup art is drawing with a pen or sharpie on your coffee cup. The art work has to flow all around the cup for a really cool effect. When I was an intern, I got coffee a lot to keep me going. There was a small little coffee stand that I would always go to. During my lunch time, I would doodle on coffee cups to make mini illustrations. When I graduated and tried to clean up my desk, my wonderful cooperating teacher told me not to throw away my coffee cups because they were art. I think this is a relaxing and fun assignment to doodle all sort of soothing art. I have a small cup for all of the advanced art students (8 oz) but if you want a bigger one, you have to get your own coffee.
Noelle was so kind to give me a few cups for extra credit. She gets to choose who gets her donated cups. : )
Before you start your art, you have to tell me your idea. You do not need to sketch it out first, just have an idea in your head and free draw all of it. You can do this assignment as many times as you want. (future cups have to be provided by you!)
Points: 10
Additional Cups: 2 extra credit points.
