Steps to making a self portrait:
- Find a good face shot picture of yourself on a nice camera
- Print that photo out in black and white, you must have a picture to bring into class by SEP 8TH!
- On a sketch piece of paper, quickly practice sketching the contours (lines) of your face very lightly. It's a nice warm up before you start the final.
- When you are ready for the final piece of paper, let me know and I will provide you nice drawing paper and a 2B pencil for you to use. Lightly sketch out the contours again, but this time, use your 2B pencil to start to shade the values (darks/lights) of your face.
- When you are done, turn it in for your grade and then you can begin the next project.
